Dr. Rashmi Niranjan
Dr.Rashmi Niranjan, did her schooling in KRCR School for Girls, Kittur.Karnataka. Graduated from College of Fine Arts, CKP, Bangalore. Earned PhD(Visual Art) from Jain University, while teaching as an Associate Professor in School of Architecture, Ramaiah Institute of Technology,Bangalore, India.
Rashmi NIranjan loved to draw and paint from childhood as her mother encouraged providing the Ramayana and Mahabharata story books to see and sketch. She won prizes in school art competitions. She was part of the school volleyball team. A keen admirer of Raja Ravi Varma’s oil paintings and his oleograph prints, who fused the European academic art with a purely Indian sensibility and iconographic approaches, was one of the great artists of India. Rashmi Niranjan loves to paint after Renaissance famous artist’s masterpieces in oil medium. Also enjoy painting rural, urban, nature themes in water color, acrylic and other mediums. She has exhibited in Mysore Dasara art exhibition, Karnataka Chitrakala Parishth’s ChitraSanthe 2004,2019,2020 and 2021. Currently her work is selected and participating for the XIII Florence Biennale (International Contemporary Art & Design Exhibition) in Italy, 2021 and showcase talent at an International platform.
